2001.7.15-28.科工专西部科技与商务访问团共20人访问北京，西安，重庆，成都，昆明，兰州,并在7月15日在国务院侨办礼堂举办招待会,国侨办副主任李海峰,国家外专局局长马俊如,副局长杨汉炎, 外交部副部长李道豫, 国家环保总局副局长金鉴明出席招待会, 李海峰副主任讲话。
2001.7.15-16. 协会与中国科学院合办纳米技术研讨会在北京举行,中科院院长路甬祥和科技部副部长程津培出席研讨会并讲话。
2001年9月14日: 原定的第九屆年会因发生”911”事件被取消。

2005.10.9.第十三屆年会暨“美中携手繁荣与旅美华人的事业发展”研讨会召开。中国科技部副部长程津培院士发表“自主创新与中国发展—面向2020年的中国科学技术”的主题演讲。
2001, 5: ACSE held a forum on “Economic Development of China’s Mid-West Region”.
2001, 7, 15-28: The ACSE Science & Business Delegation (20 delegates) visited Beijing, Xi’an, ChunQing, Kunming and Lanzhou. The delegation held a reception in Beijing, attended by Mr. Haifeng Li, Deputy Director of the Overseas Chinese Affair Office of the State Council; Mr. Junru Ma, Director of Foreign Expert Bureau; Mr. Hanyan Yang, Deputy Director of Foreign Expert Burear, Mr. Daoyu Li, Deputy Minister of the Foreign Ministry; and Mr. Jianming Jin, Deputy Director of Environment Protection Agent. Deputy Director Haifeng Li delivered a speech.
2001, 7, 15-16: ACSE and The Chinese Academy of Sciences co-organized a symposium on nanotechnology in Beijing. The president of The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr.. Yongxiang Lu, and Dr. Jinpei Cheng, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science & Technology were in attendance.
2001, 9, 14: The ACSE 9th annual meeting was cancelled because of the 9/11 event in the US.
2002, 1, 19: ACSE held a Chinese New Year’s party.
2002, 4, 27: ACSE held a forum on “America-China Economic Cooperation”. In attendance was a delegation from China led by the governor of Gansu Province Mr. Hao Lu.
2002, 9, 22. The 10th ACSE annual meeting was held. Dr. Middleton, President of Roosevelt University gave a speech.
2002, 10, 22: ACSE joined other Chinese communities in Chicago in welcoming China’s President Zeming Jiang.
2002, 12, 23-31: ACSE Science & Business Delegation visited Zhongguancong of Beijing, attended the 5th Guangzhou Overseas Scholars Fair, and visited Xi’an.
2003, 1, 12: ACSE Board of Directors appointed an ad hoc committee to draft <<ACSE Election Rules>>.

2004, 11-2005, 9: ACSE established Los Angeles Chapter, New York Chapter and Boston Chapter.
2004, 12: ACSE Board of Directors appointed an ad hoc committee headed by Board Chairman Gary Wang to work on the revision of <<ACSE By-Laws>> and enacting <<ACSE Operation Rules>>.
